Kenda Farben: pioneers from Italy
Founded in 1963, during the peak of Italian industrial expansion, Kenda Farben was established by Danilo Barbic and Giuseppe Tipa. They saw the opportunity to create innovative and high quality products needed by the fashion and footwear brands of 60s Italy.
The decision to set up in Garlasco, near Vigevano, an important centre of shoe making, proved valuable, allowing for rapid development and a close connection with brands and factories, helping the two entrepreneurs to quickly understand their customers’ needs
From the beginning Kenda Farben distinguished itself both for the high quality of its products and for its focus on developing new solutions. The company met the needs of a fast evolving sector and quickly gained the trust of its customers.
In the 1970s, Kenda Farben recognized the importance of expanding its reach beyond national borders. By actively participating in international trade fairs and forging strong partnerships with overseas distributors, the company gradually consolidated its presence on global markets. Today, approximately 70% of Kenda Farben’s total turnover comes from exports, a testament to the success of this strategy.
Furthermore, to strengthen an international presence, the company established several subsidiaries worldwide including China, India, Vietnam, Cambodia and Serbia.
Kenda Farben has also focused on diversification to become a stronger player in the footwear and leather goods sector, guaranteeing its customers functional and reliable products. Over the years, seven companies have joined the group. This growth has allowed for a significant expansion of our offering and the ability to reach a wider audience.
